Corrosion Test in Salt Spray Fog

The EUC requirement in respect of the guideline concerning old vehicles requiring chrom-6+-free corrosion protective coatings, resulted in new coating materials and coating processes. EGELHOF products combine a variety of different materials. However, it must be taken into account that the interaction of various metallic materials in a saliferous humid environment can result in a considerable corrosion.

In order to assure a high service life of the components, EGELHOF carries out detailed tests on each new material combination and in connection with customer validation requirementss in its own salt spray chamber in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9227.
